It’s an innovative chair – the Eero Saarinen Tulip Chair is ergonomic in nature and it makes an important piece in the world of furniture design history. The Tulip Chair was, in fact, the world’s first one-legged chair and, when it was first introduced in the latter part of the 1950s, it altered the future of furniture design.
Echoing the curves of the human body, the sweeping fiberglass frame provides excellent comfort and supreme comfort. This is further accentuated by the padded upholstery which is available in up to seven colors (please discuss your preference with customer services).
The unique swivel pedestal base provides stability as well as a distinctive aesthetic.
The Tulip Armchair by Eero Saarinen is also available as a Tulip Chair (i.e. with no arms).
